Training Course on Filtration Fundamentals and Description of Requirements and Standards for Turbine Air Filters Based on EN-779-2012 at Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery

A specialized training course was held for the experts of Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery in Ahvaz on July 9th and 10th, 2024. The course was conducted by Mr. Saadatpour, focusing on the fundamentals of filtration and the standards governing air filters for turbines, particularly EN-779-2012.

The course covered several key topics, including:

• An introduction to scientific references in the filtration industry.
• An overview of filters used in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
• Fundamentals of filter design for various fluids (air, gas, and petroleum products).
• Introduction to filtration test standards in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Additionally, the course included a detailed examination of HVAC filters, turbine air filters, and the testing standards for turbine air filters, with a specific focus on EN-779-2012.

At the end of the training, certificates of attendance were issued to the participants by Iran Filtek in collaboration with the Isfahan Science and Technology Town.
