The Second National Filtration Conference and Standards with a focus on oil, gas, and power plants was organized by Iran Filtech on November 22, 2017, at the conference halls of the Science and Technology Town.
The main themes of organizing this conference
At the beginning of the conference, Omidi Maavoon, the Deputy of the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, introduced the facilities, objectives, and missions of this science and technology town. Then, Engineer Parvand, the Head of Standardization Affairs at the National Iranian Gas Company, delivered a speech.
Golestaneh, the head of the Gas Transmission Company of Region 2, another speaker at this conference, mentioned the importance of the filtration industry in gas transmission and the activities that have been carried out in this field so far.
Ebrahim Mohseni, the Head of Technical Inspection at the Gas Transmission Company, also presented technical and specialized content regarding the importance and position of filtration in the gas industry of Iran, as well as the damages caused by impurities present in the gas, in line with the themes of the conference.
Following the conference, Mohammad Hassan Saeedi, a member of the faculty at the Sharif University of Technology, investigated the effect of obstacles on pollutant concentrations in a clean room and presented experimental modeling of the surgery room.
Another speaker at the Second Filtration Conference, Sediqzadeh, spoke about the requirements of using standard tests to determine filter quality.
During the continuation of the conference, Parham Soltani, a member of the faculty at the Textile Engineering Department of the Isfahan University of Technology, presented technical and specialized topics related to fibrous filter structures, filter media raw materials, and methods of producing nonwoven media.
Hamid Reza Towangar, Head of Planning and Repairs of Gas Transmission Company of Region 2, also explained the fundamentals of filtration as the next speaker of this conference.
Finally, Mojtaba Saadatpour, the head of the Filtration Laboratory at the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, delivered a speech on the introduction of international standards and the testing methods for filters.
