“The Fourth National Filtration Conference and Standards, and its Effects on Gas Turbine Performance” was organized by Iran Filtech in collaboration with the Specialized Filtration Laboratory of Isfahan Science and Technology Town, with the participation of industry professionals and activists from the country’s power plants, South Pars Gas Refineries, and gas transmission companies on Thursday, December 23rd, at the Conference Center of the Niroo Research Institute. The conference aimed to familiarize participants with and utilize the latest standards in the field of filtration and share knowledge on filtration and separation in various industries across the country.
The main themes of this conference include:
- Introducing the latest world standards
- Introduction to the services of the Filtration Laboratory in Isfahan Science and Technology Town
- Training workshop aimed at enhancing professionals’ knowledge of design and engineering processes in the field of filtration and separation
- Investigating the effects of pollution on reducing the efficiency of turbines and ways to prevent it
- Holding a question and answer session and sharing experiences
At the Fourth National Filtration Conference, several experts in the field of filtration, both domestic and international, delivered presentations covering various aspects of filtration.
At the beginning of the program, Mehdi Mahdavi presented talks regarding the structure, objectives, and programs of the Isfahan Science and Technology Town.

Davar Rezakhani, the manager of planning and accreditation of laboratories at Aba Niroo Center, highlighted the necessity of establishing and launching a network of electrical industry laboratories. He also discussed the actions that have been taken in this regard so far.

Mr. Ebrahim Mohseni, the head of technical inspection at the Gas Company, also presented valuable insights regarding the importance and position of filtration in Iran’s gas industry and related industries.
In the following, Mr. Mojtaba Saadatpour, the manager of the Filtration Laboratory at the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, presented topics related to the fundamentals of filtration, the introduction of standards associated with various types of filters, and the services provided by the Filtration Laboratory at the Isfahan Science and Technology Town.
At the end of the conference, Torsten Stoffel and John Dachowski, among other speakers, presented technical and specialized materials online according to the goals and themes of the conference. Torsten Stoffel, product manager of Hengst in Germany, another speaker at the 4th Filtration Conference, presented materials on the new ISO 29461 standard for turbomachinery filtration, as well as energy consumption rates in air filters online.
