Comprehensive Filtration Training Course for Managers and Experts of Persian Gulf Bidboland Gas Refining Company

This specialized training course was conducted for the Persian Gulf Bidboland Gas Refining Company over four days, from July 9-10 and December 4-5, 2024, led by Mr. Saadatpour.

Training Content:

  1. Fundamentals of Filtration:

Participants were introduced to scientific references in the field of filtration, an overview of filters used in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, basic design principles for filters in various fluids (air, gas, and petroleum products), and standards for filter testing in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. The course also covered the fundamentals of filter media.

  1. Air Filtration:
  • Filters used in HVAC systems
  • Air filters for turbines
  • Standards for turbine air filter testing
  • Analysis and application of EN-779-2012
  1. Gas Filtration:
  • Processes in the gas industry
  • Pollutants in gas refining and transportation processes
  • Filtration systems
  • Explanation of requirements and standards for natural gas filters, including IGS-M-PM-111(2)
  1. Liquid Filtration:
  • Introduction to the principles and mechanisms of liquid filters
  • Filtration in hydraulic systems
  • Hydraulic filters used in the petrochemical industry
  • Filtration systems in water treatment
  • Testing requirements and standards for hydraulic filters, including the five major standards for hydraulic oil filters (ISO-2941, ISO-2942, ISO-2943, ISO-16889, ISO-3968)

Site Visit:

During the training, Mr. Saadatpour conducted a site visit to the refinery to examine challenges and issues related to filtration and separation processes specific to their operations.

Certification:

At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates of attendance, issued by Iran Filtech in collaboration with the Isfahan Science and Technology Town.
